{"id":9458,"date":"2025-01-17T18:21:26","date_gmt":"2025-01-17T17:21:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/salomons.coach\/?p=9458"},"modified":"2025-11-16T21:47:44","modified_gmt":"2025-11-16T20:47:44","slug":"hbr-over-leiderschapscoaching","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salomons.coach\/nl\/hbr-about-leadership-coaching\/","title":{"rendered":"Wat Harvard Business Review ons echt heeft geleerd over coaching"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In de afgelopen tien jaar, <strong>Harvard Business Review (HBR)<\/strong> heeft een schat aan inzichten over coaching gedeeld - veel daarvan komt overeen met wat ik dagelijks zie in mijn coachingpraktijk en waar ik vaak over schrijf: emotionele veerkracht, VUCA-leiderschap en gezonde teamdynamiek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hier is de essentie van HBR's denken, gedistilleerd en gemoderniseerd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coaching, volgens HBR<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>HBR beschrijft coaching consequent als een <strong>samenwerkend, ontwikkelingsgericht partnerschap<\/strong> die individuen helpt:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>zichzelf duidelijker zien<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>nieuwe gewoonten opbouwen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>leiderschapsgedrag versterken<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>en met meer duidelijkheid door complexiteit navigeren<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Veel hiervan is direct verbonden met mijn werk over sensemaking en zelfleiderschap in een VUCA-wereld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De soorten coaching die HBR benadrukt<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Executive coaching<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Voor senior leiders die emotionele intelligentie, strategische aanwezigheid en sterkere zelfregulatie onder druk moeten ontwikkelen.<br>(In verband met mijn post over emotionele uitbarstingen en het belang van zelfleiderschap).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prestatiecoaching<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Gericht op specifieke vaardigheden en gedragsverbeteringen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coaching voor ontwikkeling<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Groei op lange termijn gekoppeld aan identiteit, doel, veerkracht en aanpassingsvermogen - de basis van mijn Reflect-Reset-Align-Rise\u2122 raamwerk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De impact van coaching<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Onderzoek gepubliceerd door HBR toont consistent aan dat coaching leidt tot:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>verbeterd leiderschapsgedrag<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sterkere emotionele intelligentie<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>verhoogde betrokkenheid van werknemers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>gezondere teamdynamiek<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>betere goedkeuring van veranderingen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dit weerspiegelt een belangrijk thema in verschillende van mijn posts:<br>\ud83d\udc49 <strong>Werknemers haken niet af omdat het ze niet interesseert - ze haken af wanneer leiders niet meer luisteren.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wat maakt coaching effectief?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>HBR benadrukt herhaaldelijk dat de kwaliteit van de coachingrelatie de kwaliteit van het resultaat bepaalt. Effectief coachen vereist:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>actief luisteren<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>krachtige, reflectieve vraagstelling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>duidelijke en op elkaar afgestemde doelen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>feedbacklussen en verantwoording<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dit zijn dezelfde gedragingen waar ik voor pleit in mijn VUCA-leiderschapsprogramma's: vertragen, beter luisteren en inzicht krijgen in complexiteit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De uitdagingen die HBR identificeert<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Coaching is geen magie. HBR benadrukt obstakels zoals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>weerstand tegen verandering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>slechte afstemming tussen persoonlijke en organisatiedoelen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>variabiliteit in kwaliteit en methodologie van de coach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>emotionele blinde vlekken die leiders onderschatten<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Allemaal thema's die ik vaak tegenkom in mijn coachingpraktijk en waarover ik schrijf in mijn posts over negativiteitslussen, emotionele triggers en de impact van onuitgesproken teamdynamiek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De essentie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De boodschap van HBR komt nauw overeen met wat ik heb ervaren in meer dan twintig jaar coaching:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bij coaching gaat het er niet om mensen te repareren - het gaat erom ze te helpen op te klimmen.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Het stelt leiders in staat om emotionele veerkracht, helderheid en aanwezigheid in onzekere omgevingen te ontwikkelen.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>En het helpt organisaties om culturen op te bouwen waarin vertrouwen, verbondenheid en psychologische veiligheid kunnen groeien.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Als leiders transformeren, volgt het systeem.
