Wat we allemaal verwachten van onze leider!<\/h1>\n<p>Verwachtingen van onze leiders: als ik deze vraag stel als onderdeel van de basistraining leiderschap, krijgen we gemakkelijk 20-30 items op een flip-over. We hebben allemaal specifieke idee\u00ebn over en verwachtingen van onze leiders. Herken je dit?<\/p>\n<p>De meest voorkomende antwoorden zijn meestal: Ik wil gezien en gehoord worden, eerlijk behandeld worden, flexibel zijn wanneer familiekwesties onze aandacht vragen, enz. We verwachten ook dat onze manager alles onthoudt wat we hebben gezegd en dat hij weet wat er in ons leven gebeurt, zelfs tot op het punt dat de manager anticipeert op gebeurtenissen die plaatsvinden of die door ons zijn gepland.<\/p>\n<p>Laten we de vraag omdraaien: Wat verwacht de leider van ons, de volgers?<\/p>\n<p>Dit is het echt interessante deel: het hangt af van de individuele manager.<\/p>\n<p>Waar het hier echt om gaat is: bespreek je dit soort verwachtingen met je manager? Neem een stap terug en denk erover na: hoe goed ken je je manager en zijn\/haar verwachtingen van jou? Deze vraag gaat niet alleen over het functieprofiel, de taken. Het gaat over je doel, de reden waarom je dingen (wilt) doen, de manier waarop je dingen doet.<\/p>\n<h3>Praktisch voorstel<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Maak een zo volledig mogelijke lijst met verwachtingen die je hebt van je manager<\/li>\n<li>Maak een volledige lijst van verwachtingen die je denkt dat je manager van je heeft.<\/li>\n<li>Markeer in elke lijst 2 items waarvan je denkt dat ze echt meer duidelijkheid nodig hebben, of nergens toe leiden op dit moment.<\/li>\n<li>Wacht op de juiste gelegenheid om de gemarkeerde punten met je manager te bespreken. Vertel hem\/haar dat je duidelijkheid wilt om ervoor te zorgen dat je aan de verwachtingen kunt voldoen en om duidelijkheid te krijgen of de manager je verwachtingen begrijpt.<\/li>\n<li>Werk deze punten uit en bevestig ze in een e-mail - of een geschikt systeem dat in dienst staat van je jaarlijkse doelstellingen en prestaties.<\/li>\n<li>Zorg ervoor dat je dit tijdens je jaarlijkse evaluatie opnieuw bespreekt. Herhaal de vraag ook in die sessie, er is altijd meer te winnen.<\/li>\n<li>Verras je manager met het waarmaken van verwachtingen en verwacht hetzelfde van hem\/haar.<\/li>\n<li>Noteer hoe vaak dit een gespreksonderwerp wordt en natuurlijk wat er besproken en afgesproken wordt. Het zorgt er ook voor dat je manager je prestaties wil belonen en je voortdurende ontwikkeling wil ondersteunen. Als je manager ervaart dat je aan de verwachtingen voldoet, kun je van hem\/haar hetzelfde verwachten. Zorg ervoor dat je ook een oproep tot actie opneemt, bijvoorbeeld een extra salarisverhoging.<\/p>\n<p>Dit onderwerp is vaak een vraag die ik krijg tijdens coaching. Hoe kan ik ervoor zorgen dat ik aan de verwachtingen voldoe en hoe kan ik de resultaten het beste verzilveren. Tegelijkertijd stel ik vaak de vraag: \u201cHoe kan je manager je ondersteunen bij het bereiken van je doelen?\u201d. Dit wordt vaak vaag beantwoord, wat me vertelt dat veel mensen niet echt weten wat de verwachtingen zijn, laat staan hoe de manager dit kan ondersteunen.<\/p>\n<p>Uiteindelijk zijn jij en je manager een team. Daarom gelden de regels van goed presterende teams.  Denk aan het model van Lencioni: het begint allemaal met vertrouwen, wanneer dit volledig aanwezig is, zullen er constructieve conflicten plaatsvinden in gesprekken.
